1Magnetic, the debut song by K-pop girl group ILLIT, passed 900 million streams on Spotify on Oct. 18. By that day, the song had been played 900,351,494 times. No K-pop group's debut song had reached the mark in a shorter time.

2The group's agency, Belift Lab, announced the record in a press release on Oct. 20. Magnetic was released in March 2024 as the title track of ILLIT's first mini album, Super Real Me. The milestone came about two years and seven months later. That works out to nearly a million plays a day on average.

3The song was a hit from the beginning. It reached the top of the major music charts in South Korea soon after its release. It also entered the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 and the Top 100 of the U.K. Official Singles Chart. In Japan, it has passed 300 million streams and has been certified triple platinum for streaming.

4ILLIT has five members, two of whom, Moka and Iroha, are from Japan. The other three, Yunah, Minju and Wonhee, are from South Korea. The group was formed through an audition show, and Magnetic was its first release.

5ILLIT held the encore shows of its world tour at Inspire Arena in Incheon, South Korea, on Oct. 17 and 18. Its fifth mini album, Break Even, is set for release on Oct. 26. The title track is called You're Under Arrest.

表題曲の名前は「You're Under Arrest」です。

By that day, the song had been played 900,351,494 times.
