If someone asks you

Q

Do adults in Japan really watch anime?

A

Yes, plenty of adults do. Many TV anime air late at night and are made with older fans in mind, and anime films are often among the biggest hits at the box office. That said, not everyone is into it. For a lot of adults, anime is just something they watched as kids, like cartoons anywhere else.

Phrase of the day

I grew up watching anime.

Sentence of the day

October 22nd shows two sides of Japan at once. In Kyoto, people parade through more than a thousand years of history, while Anime Day remembers the first full-length color animated film made in Japan.
