折り方How to fold

からだ（黄土色の紙）：三角に折る
Body (golden sheet): fold in half to make a triangle.
さらに半分の三角に折る
Fold in half again.
袋を開いて、四角につぶす
Open the pocket and squash it into a square.
うらがえす
Turn it over.
こちらも袋を開いて、四角につぶす
Squash this side into a square, too.
下のふちを、まん中の線に合わせて折りすじをつける
Fold the lower edges to the center line and unfold.
上の三角を折って、折りすじをつける
Fold the top down and unfold.
1まいめを下から持ち上げて、ふちを折りすじで内側へ（花弁折り）
Lift the bottom corner of the top layer and fold the sides in along the creases (petal fold).
うらがえす
Turn it over.
こちらも、下のふちをまん中に合わせて折りすじをつける
Fold the lower edges to the center line and unfold.

Outside reverse fold the tip of the tail up to make the tuft.

Mane 1 (dark brown sheet): crease both diagonals.
4つの角を、まん中に合わせて折る
Fold all four corners to the center.
4つの先を、外へはみ出すように折りかえす
Fold the four points back out so they stick out past the edges.
先が、ふちから同じだけ出るように折ると、きれいな星形になります。
うらがえす（8つのとがったたてがみ）
Turn it over. Now the mane has eight points.
たてがみ2（明るい茶色の、少し小さい紙）：ななめ2本の折りすじをつける
Mane 2 (lighter brown, slightly smaller sheet): crease both diagonals.
4つの角を、まん中に合わせて折る
Fold all four corners to the center.
4つの先を、外へはみ出すように折りかえす
Fold the four points back out past the edges.

Turn it over.
顔（小さい紙）：うすい色を上にしてひし形におき、三角に折る
Face (small sheet): place it light side up like a diamond and fold it in half to make a triangle.
左右の角を、上へ折り上げる（耳）
Fold the left and right corners up to make the ears.
耳の先を、うしろへ少し折って丸くする
Fold the tips of the ears behind a little to round them.
下の角を 1まいだけ、上へ折る（口もと）
Fold the bottom corner of the top layer up to make the muzzle.
その先を、下へ折りかえす（はな）
Fold its tip back down to make the nose.
うしろの角を、うしろへ折る（あご）
Fold the back corner behind to make the chin.

顔を、たてがみ2のまん中にのりでつける
Glue the face onto the middle of mane 2.
それを、たてがみ1の上にのりでつける
Glue it onto mane 1.
たてがみ1を少し回してとがった先がずれるようにし、頭を首の先にのりでつける
Turn mane 1 a little so the points do not line up, then glue the whole head onto the tip of the neck.
2まいのたてがみの先が、こうごに出るように。16本のとがったたてがみになります。
足を少し開いて、立たせる
Open the legs a little and stand the lion up.
できあがり！顔に目をかいて、足を少し開いて立たせたら、ライオンのできあがり！
Finished! Draw the eyes on the face and open the legs a little so it can stand. Your lion is finished!
