How to make a Paper Trash BoxゴミばこPaper Trash Box

A desk trash box folded from an old flyer. Put orange peels or eraser crumbs in it, and when it is full, throw the whole thing away.

How to fold

Place the flyer tall. Fold it in half from top to bottom.

Fold it in half from side to side and unfold.

Fold the top corners down to the center line, then unfold.

Push the sides in along the creases to make a house shape: a triangle roof with a band below.

Fold the side corners of the top layer to the center line.

Fold the band at the bottom up.

    Turn it over.

Fold the side corners to the center line on this side, too.

    Fold this band up, too.

Fold the top triangle down firmly, then unfold.

Put your fingers into the opening at the bottom and spread it. Flatten the bottom and stand up the four walls.

Finished! Your trash box is finished! Press the bottom flat with your fingers and stand the four walls up straight to make it strong.

Fun fact

The bottom of this box is half as wide as the paper, and the walls are a quarter as tall. With A4 paper, the bottom is a square about 10 cm wide.
