From:Lakeside Language School / To:You / Date:Monday, October 6 / Subject:Change of venue for the Culture Day Trip / Dear Student, Thank you for signing up for the Culture Day Trip on Saturday, October 18. Unfortunately, the history museum we planned to visit will be closed that day for repairs. Instead, we will visit the Riverside Art Gallery. The departure time (9:00 a.m.) and the fee (£25, lunch included) will not change. However, the gallery does not allow large bags, so please bring only a small backpack. Could you also let us know within three days whether you have any food allergies? We look forward to seeing you.

Posted by Greenville City Office, May 20:Last month, the city started a free bike-sharing service with 200 bikes at 15 stations. In the first four weeks, the bikes were used about 6,000 times. We are pleased with this excellent start, and we plan to add 10 more stations by next spring. / Comments / Tom:I use a bike every morning to get to the train station. It's convenient, but there are often no bikes left after 8 a.m. / Sara:The service is a great idea, but some riders leave bikes on the sidewalk, which is dangerous for elderly people. The city should do something about this.

My Weekend at a Farm Stay(posted by Emily, June 3)/ Last weekend, I stayed at a small farm two hours from the city. On Saturday, I helped pick strawberries in the morning and fed the goats in the afternoon. I was surprised that the goats were so friendly — one even followed me around like a dog! On Sunday, it rained, so instead of working outside, we made strawberry jam in the kitchen. Overall, it was a wonderful experience, and I'd recommend it to anyone who wants a break from city life. Just remember to bring boots, because the paths get very muddy.
