This picture is very dark. A giant with wild eyes comes out of the black. He is Saturn, a god in an old story. Goya painted this on a wall in his own house. It was in his dining room!

In Roman myth, the god Saturn (Cronus in Greek myth) was afraid of a prophecy that one of his children would take his throne. So, the story says, he swallowed his children one after another. Goya painted this terrible myth as a wild-eyed giant coming out of the darkness.
