Two people sit on a rock. They are about to kiss. They come from an old story. They fell in love when they read a book together. Look closely. Their lips do not really touch!

A man and a woman sit on a rock, holding each other as they lean in for a kiss. This is The Kiss, one of Auguste Rodin's most famous works. The photo shows the marble version at Tate in London. It is more than 1.8 meters tall, larger than life. There are three large marble versions of The Kiss, and this one was made between 1901 and 1904.

【本文の訳】岩に腰かけた男女が、だき合い、キスをする直前のように顔を寄せています。オーギュスト・ロダンの代表作「接吻」です。この写真は、ロンドンのテートが所蔵する大理石の像で、高さは1.8メートルをこえ、人間より大きく作られています。大理石の大きな「接吻」は3体あり、これはそのうちの1体として、1901年から1904年にかけて作られました。
