This is a very big painting on a wall. Christ is in the middle. Some people go up to heaven. Some people fall down. A famous story says a man criticized the painting, so Michelangelo painted him with donkey ears!
The Last Judgment shows the end of the world. Christ decides who goes to Heaven and who goes to Hell. Michelangelo started it in 1536, more than 20 years after he finished the ceiling. He was over 60 years old. He finished it in 1541. It covers the whole wall behind the altar of the Sistine Chapel and is about 14 meters tall.
