In a Greek myth, Icarus flew with wings made of feathers and wax by his father, Daedalus. He flew too close to the sun, the wax melted, and he fell into the sea. But in this painting, the main figures are a ploughman, a shepherd and a fisherman. In the lower right, you only see Icarus's legs in the water. Nobody pays attention, and a ship sails past.

Fun Fact（訳）
じつはブリューゲル本人の筆ではない！？ ブリューゲルは板に描くことが多かったのに、この絵はカンヴァスに描かれています。失われた原画を写した古い模写だという説がありますが、作者も年代もまだ確定していません。美術館も作者をはっきり言い切らない形で紹介しています。
