On the left is the year '1500' and his famous 'AD' monogram. On the right, a Latin text says that Albrecht Dürer of Nuremberg painted himself like this at 28.

🦉 Fun Fact! The Albertina in Vienna has a self-portrait Dürer drew in silverpoint at 13, looking in a mirror. Later he wrote on it that he drew it in 1484 'when I was still a child'. It is one of the oldest self-portraits by a child in Europe.

Fun Fact（訳）

13歳の自画像が残っている ウィーンのアルベルティーナ美術館には、デューラーが13歳のときに鏡を見て描いた銀筆の自画像があります。のちに本人が「まだ子どもだった1484年に鏡を見て描いた」と書きこみました。子どもが描いた自画像として、ヨーロッパで最も古いもののひとつです。
