Men carrying a palanquin run up the hill. A man with an umbrella bends forward and runs down. This impression is in the Cleveland Museum of Art.

🦉 Fun Fact! The umbrella has the word 'Takenouchi' on it. That is the name of the owner of the publisher Hōeidō. The publisher slipped an ad for his own shop into the picture! Putting the name inside the scene works like a playful advertisement.

【本文の訳】保永堂版「東海道五拾三次」の1枚で、45番目の宿場・庄野（今の三重県鈴鹿市）の近くを描いています。突然の夕立に、坂道の旅人たちが大あわて。駕籠（かご）をかつぐ人は坂をかけのぼり、かさをさした人は前かがみで坂をかけおります。画像の摺りはアメリカのクリーブランド美術館の所蔵です。
