Two women sit in a boat on a lake. Ducks swim near them. Berthe Morisot painted this in a park in Paris. In 1956, two students took this painting from a museum! It came back a few days later.

Two fashionable women sit in a rowing boat on a park lake. Ducks swim on the water to the right. The French painter Berthe Morisot painted this scene in the Bois de Boulogne, a large park in Paris, in about 1879. The National Gallery in London holds it in partnership with the Hugh Lane Gallery, and from 2026 to 2031 it is on long-term loan in Dublin, Ireland.
