This is the Mona Lisa. Leonardo da Vinci painted her. She has a small, quiet smile. In 1911, a man stole the painting. It came back two years later.
The Mona Lisa is a portrait that Leonardo da Vinci began around 1503. The model is thought to be Lisa Gherardini, the wife of Francesco del Giocondo, a merchant in Florence. 'Mona' means 'my lady'. She is also called La Gioconda, after her husband's name.

盗まれて2年間行方不明 1911年8月、ルーヴルで働いたことのあるイタリア人ヴィンチェンツォ・ペルージャが、絵を服の下にかくして持ち去りました。2年以上見つからず、詩人アポリネールが逮捕され、ピカソも取り調べを受けました。1913年、フィレンツェで売ろうとして捕まりました。
