This is a church in a small village. The sky is very dark blue. The church looks a little bent. A woman walks on the path. Van Gogh painted this near the end of his life.

Under a deep blue sky, a stone church seems to bend and sway. In front, the path splits in two, and a woman walks along the left-hand path. Van Gogh painted it in June 1890 in Auvers-sur-Oise, a village northwest of Paris. It is now in the Musée d'Orsay in Paris.

🦉 Fun Fact! The path and grass in front are bright in the sun, but much of the church is painted in shadowy blues and violets, as if it sits in its own shadow. Even the stained-glass windows are a deep blue like the sky. Is it day or night? The light is strange.
