This huge group portrait shows King Charles IV of Spain and his family, thirteen people in a row. It is 2.8 meters high and almost 3.4 meters wide. Queen María Luisa stands in the center, and the king stands to the right. Their jewels and medals sparkle. Goya painted it in 1800, and it is now in the Prado Museum in Madrid.

🦉 Fun Fact! Next to Prince Ferdinand in blue, the future King Ferdinand VII, a woman turns her face away. His bride had not been chosen yet, so Goya could not paint her face. That is the most common explanation.
