This is a café at night. The café is yellow and bright. The sky is blue with many stars. Van Gogh painted it outside at night. You can still see this café building in Arles today!

In a square at night, a café terrace glows yellow under a gas lamp, and stars sparkle in the sky. People walk along the cobblestone street. Vincent van Gogh painted this in September 1888 in the Place du Forum in Arles, in the south of France. It is now in the Kröller-Müller Museum in the Netherlands.
