Jeong Seon was a painter of the Joseon dynasty in Korea. Before him, Korean landscape painting often showed imagined scenes based on Chinese models. Jeong Seon walked through the Diamond Mountains and the hills around Seoul and painted what he saw. He started the 'true-view landscape' style. Clearing after Rain on Mount Inwang, painted when he was 75, is a National Treasure of Korea.
