QWhy use a suit instead of computer graphics?

APartly cost and partly taste. A suit gives real weight and real shadows, and the miniature sets are destroyed for real, which is hard to fake. Japanese fans also read the suit as part of the genre, the way an audience accepts puppets in a stage show.

AIt came from this. The American series used action footage from the Japanese show Super Sentai and shot new scenes around it. Super Sentai ran in Japan from 1975 until early 2026, about half a century, and a new hero series has taken over its time slot.
