1The Paper Crane
Hana's grandmother was in the hospital. Hana wanted to make her happy, so she decided to fold paper cranes. She folded ten cranes on the first day. Her fingers hurt, but she did not stop. Her friends at school heard about it, and they started to help. Every day after lunch, they folded cranes together in the classroom. After two weeks, they had one hundred cranes. Hana put them on a long string and took them to the hospital. When her grandmother saw the cranes, she smiled and held Hana's hand. "These are the most beautiful cranes in the world," she said.
