3The Empty Seat
Riku was riding the bus home from school. An old woman got on, so he stood up and gave her his seat. She thanked him and sat down. At the next stop, she got off in a hurry. Then Riku saw a small bag on the empty seat. He opened it and found a phone and a key. He got off at the station and took the bag to the police box. That evening, the police called Riku's house. The old woman wanted to say thank you. The next week, she came to the station with a box of cookies for him.
