1Model（Should high school students do volunteer work?）
[1] Many high schools in Japan do not require students to do volunteer work. However, I believe every high school student should do some volunteer work, because it helps us grow in two important ways.
[2] First, volunteer work teaches us skills that we cannot learn in the classroom. For example, when I helped at a local festival, I had to talk with elderly people and solve problems quickly. These communication skills will be useful in any job.
[3] Second, volunteer work helps us understand our community. Many students do not know what problems their town has. By cleaning a park or visiting a nursing home, we can see these problems with our own eyes.
[4] In conclusion, volunteer work gives students practical skills and a deeper understanding of their community. Schools should give students more chances to try it.
