Nurarihyon is a bald old yokai often described as sneaking into houses and acting like the owner.
Nurarihyon is a yokai drawn as an old man with a large, bald head, often dressed like a wealthy gentleman. An Edo-period picture book shows him with no explanation at all. In the 20th century, writers described him as a spirit who walks into busy houses and drinks tea as if he owns the place, and later as the boss of all yokai.
参As a short speechスピーチ・英作文
If you read manga or watch anime about yokai, you've probably seen nurarihyon. He's an old man with a huge, bald head, and he's often shown as the leader of all the yokai. But here's the surprising part. In the Edo period, the artist Toriyama Sekien drew him in a famous picture book of yokai, but he didn't write a single word about what nurarihyon does.
In the 20th century, writers added a story. They said he slips into houses in the busy evening hours, sits down and drinks tea as if he were the owner, and nobody notices he doesn't belong there. Later, books and manga turned him into the boss of the yokai world.
In Gegege no Kitaro, he's a clever villain, and in a manga from the late 2000s, he's the grandfather of the main character. So nurarihyon is a good example of how yokai keep changing. Each generation adds something new to the old pictures.

In one line
In 30 seconds
As a short speech

Background
